Derbyshire Victoria County History - information about the work of the Derbyshire VCH in researching and publishing accounts of communities in the county.

Barrow Hill heritage trail and history of the village - history of this community largely created for housing workers and their families at the now defunct Staveley Company.

Barrow Hill Roundhouse - the last operational railway roundhouse, now a well-known preservation centre. 

Brimington Parish Council - The parish council's official website.

Brimington War Memorial - Sally and Stuart Mullins' site devoted to those in Brimington (and Calow) who served in the First World War.

Chesterfield Borough Council - the official site of Chesterfield Borough Council. Has links to planning applications and much useful information on the borough, in which Brimington is situated.

Chesterfield and District Local History Society - The Society's website covering Chesterfield and district.

Chesterfield Canal History Archive - Canal historian Christine Richardson's expanding archive resource devoted to the canal.

Chesterfield Canal Trust - The canal passes through Brimington on its way from Chesterfield to West Stockwith.  The aims of the Chesterfield Canal Trust are to promote the full restoration and appropriate development of the Chesterfield Canal. It also campaigns for the construction of the Rother Valley Link, a navigable waterway to join the Chesterfield Canal to the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation.

Chesterfield Family History Society - The locally based family history society for the area.

Derbyshire Archaeological Society - The county archaeological and local history society. Its website contains links to over 100 years of digitised back editions of the society's Journal and its local history publication Derbyshire Miscellany.

Neil's local history and mining site - Neil Bridgewater's site packed with information on local history and mining from across the north-eastern Derbyshire area.

North East Derbyshire Industrial Archaeological Society - NEDIAS (for short) serves those interested in the rich industrial history and archaeology of the broader Chesterfield and north-eastern Derbyshire area.

Old Taptonians - This site is a means for Old Taptonians to get in touch and make contact with their old school colleagues. It also contains many photographs of the school and historical articles. There is an email contact for Len Thompson, the author of the two books on Tapton House and Tapton House School.

Staveley Remembers - the website of the Staveley Remembrance Association; set up to provide information about commemorative activities and events taking place in the area.
